Looking for a Patient Focused Optometrist (OD)

Position Summary
We are seeking a talented, patient-focused Optometrist (OD) to join our expanding team. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a positive attitude, strong communication skills, an interest in the business side of optometry, and proficiency in full-scope clinical care. This position will be based out of or Jackson, Wyoming, location.

Responsibilities

·        Perform comprehensive eye examinations

·        Diagnose and assist in managing ocular disease

·        Prescribe corrective lenses and vision therapies

·        Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients

·        Educate and counsel patients on vision health and treatment options

·        Maintain detailed, accurate patient records, including diagnoses and treatment plans


Requirements

·        Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program

·        Valid state licensure to practice as an Optometrist

·        Experience or strong knowledge in ophthalmology, pediatrics, and optical care preferred

·        Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and familiarity with medical terminology and coding

·        Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and the use of medical equipment such as slit lamps and tonometers

·        Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security

·        Excellent patient care skills with a focus on customer service and communication

·        Ability to perform detailed examinations while maintaining aseptic technique standards

·        Strong organizational skills for managing medical records and documentation efficiently
