$250K for 9 months work. FT OD in Vermont

Mobileyes Optometry, Inc would like to offer a unique, well-paid opportunity for an Optometrist here at Costco in Colchester, Vermont.

250k-300k+ for 9 months of 5-6 days per week on a 1099 contract. This would include 3 consecutive months off. Likely August, September, October. This would be dependent on the number of patients seen and working a minimum of 3 Saturdays per month. The pay structure is based on production, but if 25 paid patients per day are seen the compensation would be at least 250k in 9 months. As a 1099 you would also have flexibility with your schedule and could take more time off if needed during the working 9 months, but that would decrease your compensation.

Costco is open 7 days per week. Currently we see patients 6 days per week. We focus on primary care and medical eye exams using Optos Daytona, Optovue OCTA, VirtualField, and Marco 5100/6100 refraction systems. Our EHR is ExamWriter.

We have good staff that support seeing patients efficiently. We have refracting technicians and others that assist with all patient testing. This allows you to see ~25-35 patients per day and get compensated for doing so.

We focus on good patient care and collaboration with the OMD and medical community. You must expect a fast day, fast pace, multi-tasking environment in which you refract, document, speak to patient at the same time. The pay is good, but please don\'t apply unless you know you are able to handle quality high volume. We are not refracting exams. Your patient age varies, but more commonly 60 and older. We manage a lot of glaucoma, counsel patients on AMD, see a lot of diabetics, and a variety of other conditions. Phoria testing done on all symptomatic and headache patients.

Colchester Vermont is 10 minutes from the beautiful 100 mile Lake Champlain. Montreal Canada is 1.5 hours away. Amazing hiking, biking, boating (no crowds!), and many other farms, restaurants, swimming holes, and outdoor activities. Vermont has some of the best summer camps in the country. Great skiing (not Utah). Close enough to explore Maine, New Hampshire, Lake Placid, New York, Boston. Explore the beauty of New England!
