St. George Spring Quarterly Meeting

Dear Doctors and St George Attendees,
Due to the increased concern with the COVD19 virus and Governor Herbert response statewide the Utah Optometric Association has decided at this time to reschedule our St George Spring meeting March 27th and 28th to a Fall meeting. This was not our ideal choice but with Doctors of Optometry being on the forefront of the medical community we feel it is important to set an example, listen and follow the ask from the state of Utah to reschedule this event. We have a hold on the Entrada’s only open weekend in the fall on Friday September 4th and 5th . This is also Labor Day weekend and a gorgeous time of year down there. We will be following up further with more details.
We also want to make you aware of the AOA's response the COVID-19 pandemic. The AOA has set up a COVID-19 resource page as well as webinars regarding the outbreak. An article published today by the AOA speaks of Optometrists role in Congress' COVID-19 Relief Package.
"While COVID-19 is a novel virus, as primary eye health care physicians we know that we are a critical part of the public health solution to protecting our practices and patients," says Barbara L. Horn, O.D., AOA president. "Together with our affiliates, the AOA is acting quickly to provide our member doctors with the information and tools needed to support practices and quality care, and we'll continue to do so throughout the crisis. As a first step, I encourage colleagues to register for a special AOA webinar, which will include billing and coding specifics, and also to reach out at president@aoa.org with questions, comments and concerns."

St. George Spring Conference and Schedule
Thank you so much for visiting our Spring St. George conference page. Please feel free to use this page to answer any questions you have, get a schedule and get registered. Our conference this year will include SIX hours of ARBO approved CE, golf, dinner and a breakfast. Cost for UOA members is $65 and non UOA members is $185.
Schedule:
Friday March 27th: golf sponsored by United Optical starting at 8am, for those interested. The course will be at Coral Canyon Golf Course starting at 8am, docs golf free and there will be a $80 fee charged for guests to golf.Lunch will also be included! Limited availability with Docs getting first priority. A HUGE thank you to United Optical for sponsoring the doctors’ tee times, we are planning on a scramble format. If you have any additional questions you can call Dr. Robert Gray at 801-602-4526. If you are bringing a guest with you please know that you will be responsible to cover their tee times ($80 each), I (Alyssa) will be there and can invoice you post event for any non-doctors’ fees and can take a credit card or check to cover this cost or you can call me earlier in the week 801-364-9103.
